We are pleased to announce the completion of the specification and installation of the new BMG Studio in London.
Originally founded by Bertelsmann, BMG’s roots can be traced back to Berlin with a starting team of only three people and a united vision to have a worldwide publishing and recording business under one roof.
The cornerstone values that BMG builds on are fairness & transparency, and today BMG is one of the largest music publishing companies in the world. Their sole goal is to serve their artists and songwriters to the fullest, helping their songs and recordings to prosper in the digital age.
BMG have recently moved into the Tileyard complex in London Kings Cross and Kazbar Systems was enlisted to specify, supply and manage the installation of their new studio.
Equipment and installation:
- Universal Audio Apollo 8 -18 x 24 Audio interface with Unison mic preamps and the new LUNA recording system;
- Universal Audio LA-610 MKII Classic, vintage tube mic preamp channel strip with a smooth and natural sounding compressor;
- Antelope Audio Satori and R4S Mastering grade monitor controller solution with 8-channel analog summing mixer;
- Dynaudio LYD 7 Precision Nearfield reference monitors with DSP and 7″ Woofer, giving you a low-frequency response down to 10Hz
BMG wanted a flexible system for clients who bring in their own laptops, therefore we included a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Generation interface for simple and hassle-free connectivity. The Universal Audio Apollo 8 and the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interfaces have both been connected through a 12-way wall panel between the control room and vocal booth. The vocal booth is equipped with a classic Neumann U87 microphone set-up for pristine vocal recording.
In addition to equipment and installation, Kazbar Systems has arranged an ongoing technical support service to make sure everything is running smoothly at all times.
