Kazbar Systems reconfigures A&R listening room for BMG’s main office in London.
Prior to lockdown, we were contacted by record label BMG to assist with reconfiguring their main A&R listening room at their new Paddington main office.
Requirements:
Kazbar Systems has previously been involved with the installation of the BMG Studio at the Tileyard complex, London, Kings Cross, and this time we were enlisted to specify and supply all required cables, remove the existing audio set-up and supply and install a new active speaker system for their new listening facilities.
Equipment and Installation
BMG’s speaker of choice for their new listening room was a pair of Focal Twin 6BE’s.
Focal is a critically acclaimed audio systems brand who’s equipment is held in high regards by engineers throughout the industry. The Twin 6BE speakers are no exception, they are solid reference monitors used for recording and mixing. These monitors are an excellent choice for a listening room due to their image precision and defined details across the treble, midrange and bass registers. These speakers offer absolute transparency for a critical listening environment.
The Client also required a solution for switching between music sources and volume control.
We recommended an Audient Nero Desktop Monitor Controller, which comes with a comprehensive range of I/Os, an ultra-clean signal path and Precision Matched Attenuation Technology, enabling engineers to swap sources efficiently and listen with confidence to an authentic and balanced sound source.
