Kazbar Systems was employed by Harbour Hotel, Richmond, to asses, troubleshoot and upgrade the existing background music sound system. Kazbar Systems were the preferred partner due to previous AV installations at Salcome, South Sands Tides Reach and Southampton Ocean Village.
Music Playback System for Georgian Hotel
Richmond, a magnificent Georgian hotel dating back to the 18th century, boasts a comprehensive background music system that encompasses nine distinct zones. These zones include the reception area, restaurant, bar, outside terrace, meeting room, function room, luxury spa, and treatment rooms. Kazbar Systems provided a full system assessment of all zones.
Considering the historical structure of the hotel, the installation of additional cabling was not a feasible option. Given the utmost importance placed on the hotel’s aesthetics, Kazbar diligently worked around the existing system to identify optimal solutions that would preserve the grandeur of the establishment while ensuring comprehensive sound coverage throughout.

Reception Area
In order to achieve seamless sound coverage in the reception area while maintaining a discreet setup, we implemented a Bluetooth solution that connected from the office to the seating area. This approach ensured consistent audio quality and minimised visual disruptions in the reception space.
Restaurant, Bar and Terrace
We opted for Audac EPA amplifiers to resolve the issue of under-powered sound in the bar area. This choice was made because Audac amplifiers are renowned for their high-quality performance and reliability. By selecting Audac EPA amplifiers, we were able to effectively address the under-powered sound issue and enhance the overall audio experience in the bar. This upgrade effectively resolved the problem, ensuring that all zones were functioning properly and all speakers were operating at their full potential.

Meeting Room and Function Room
In the meeting room and function room, we installed an Audac MWX wall panel to provide convenient control over the audio environment. This versatile panel allows for easy management of various audio sources within the room, including microphones for speeches and inputs for background music. Additionally, an Audac MTX mixer was integrated into the setup to further enhance the audio control capabilities.
To ensure seamless integration and optimal performance, we meticulously reprogrammed and reconfigured the Audac digital mixer settings throughout the entire hotel facility. This comprehensive approach resulted in excellent sound coverage across the entire hotel, enhancing the overall audio experience for guests and ensuring a high-quality audio environment throughout the premises.
