Electric are a songwriting/music production team made up of Henrik Michelsen and Edvard Erjford whose credits include Little Mix, Fleur East, Cheryl Cole and The Wanted (Walks Like RIhanna).
Based at Tileyard Studios London, Electric were recommended to Kazbar Systems when they were giving consideration to a new main vocal microphone. Having already tried several options, we originally recommended the Telefunken AK47mkII Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone due to its versatility with being excellent at recording both Male & Female vocals while also being an excellent general purpose instrument recording microphone too.
Although both Henrik & Edvard loved the AK47, they were still intrigued by the Telfunken AR51. The AR51 is based on the circuit of the ElA M251E & C12 brining excellent performance into a microphone and at an excellent price too. The AR51 also features 9 switchable polar patterns on the external PSU. Both the AK47mkII and AR51 are tube microphones.
Henrik & Edvard decided on the AR51 as they felt the AR51 offered them great detail in the vocal midrange and high end frequencies.
