Kazbar Systems Commercial Audio Installations has just completed the audio installation of the newly refurbished Salcombe Harbour Hotel located in the idyllic harbour enclave of South Devon.
Kazbar Systems were contracted to install the sound sound system in The Jetty Restaurant & Bar, Corridors, Reception and outside Terraces which look over the harbor.
The specification for the audio was a clear and pleasant sound, evenly distributed during the day but which could also handle higher volumes and give a club feel during DJ functions at the weekends.
This was quite a challenge due to the open design of the Bar & Restaurant area. To facilitate this Kazbar Systems decided on using Martin Audio AQ6 speakers in key points of the Lounge area with Martin Audio AQ8’s in the larger Bar area.
The Restaurant was also challenging due to it’s open space with glass frontage. This can cause issues with sound reflection plus we could not effect the view of the Harbor with any hanging cabinets.
The answer was to install a number of evenly distributed Martin Audio C6.8T ceiling mounted speakers.
All the areas within the Bar & Restaurant are backed up by Martin Audio AQ112 Sub Woofers ascetically placed and limited in volume so to enhance the sound rather than overly influence.
All audio zones are controlled by the BSS Soundweb DSP system and powered by a combination of Martin Audio & Yamaha amplification.
