WA-14 Stereo Matched Pair includes 2 x WA-14 microphones that have been selected together as a matched pair with a tolerance of 0.5 dBu or less.
Frequency Response Curves are provided for each microphone which have been produced in a controlled environment from a large pool of WA-14 microphones within that particular production batch to ensure consistency across the 2 microphones.
A Swept Test tone is emitted from a point source and each microphones response pattern is measured at exactly the same distance and level in order to provide accurate response curves. This matching service is offered by Nova Distribution, the UK distributor for Warm Audio.
The Warm Audio WA-14 is a high-quality Large Diaphragm Brass Capsule Condenser Mic, emulating the classic C414 microphone. You can use this microphone as a super-versatile studio tool, with it’s design allowing you to record a number of sources.

You can attain the classic C414 mic sound with the WA-14. This sought-after mic had many iterations, the most desirable version having the all-brass CK12 capsule.
Warm Audio have tried to recreate this vintage-inspired construction with their “Lens Kondensator” LK-12-B-60V capsule, based off the renowned CK12 capsule design. It also has a custom premium CineMag USA transformer, and this combination of components lets you record a range of instruments with genuine and convincing old-school sonics.
You can capture anything from aggressive or soft vocals, raucous to gently-picked guitars, or punished percussion. Use the WA-14 as your perfect go-to mic in your studio, serving many purposes.

A raft of high-quality components have been used in the WA-14’s design, giving you a high-spec microphone at a fraction of the price of the classic it’s based off.
The WA-14 features a boutique-style transformer custom wound by CineMag USA, as well as polystyrene, tantalum and WIMA capacitors. This means you get a clean, unaffected signal with low noise and little to no artefacts in your waveform. So, you can capture a clear and pure signal that is true to the original sound – perfect!
