Nando’s Soho Studio Installation
Kazbar Systems are excited to announce our involvement in the specification and installation of the new Nando’s Soho Studio at their Frith Street restaurant location.
The studio, visible to diners within the Nando’s restaurant, offers professional equipment for budding producers, artists and DJs ready to turn up the heat on their career in the restaurant’s familiar surroundings.
For no charge, successful applicants will enjoy an in-house studio engineer and industry standard equipment, including a top spec Apple iMac installed with Logic Pro recording software, a Universal Audio Apollo 8 Quad, Waves Platinum, Focal Shape 65 Active Monitor Speakers a Neumann U87 microphone and an API compressor.
Kazbar Systems were recommended to the Nando’s Soho Studio team at an early stage to assist with the technical specification and subsequent installation of the studio. The client required a recording environment that offered industry standard software compatibility (should clients bring their own projects in) and the latest recording hardware offering the best sonic quality. The studio needed to function as a dynamic writing, music production and recording space whilst also catering for Podcasts. Kazbar Systems provided the equipment installation along with the technical cabling specification and installation, including the Live Room feeds through to the Control Room.
The Nando’s Music Exchange
Entering its fourth year, the Nando’s Music Exchange, is a programme that inspires the exchange of global music influences through mentoring, workshops and explosive events – rooted in Nando’s Southern African heritage. The Nando’s Music Exchange has seen the likes of Stormzy and Ella Eyre mentor young artists, with the new studio staging music workshops throughout the year.
“We’re really excited to open our first music space, both for our growing network of artists but also for our fans looking for a unique experience in restaurant.
Some of the best ideas have started over PERi-PERi, so we’re looking forward to hearing what happens when we bring together chicken and tunes!”
