Songwriter/Producer Jacqueline Pelham-Leigh was recommended to Kazbar Systems by F-Block when the time came to upgrade her home recording system. Jacqueline (whose repertoire includes the multi award winning artist Alexandra Burke) required a solution which would offer excellent audio quality and hands on production but also be at home both in the studio and used live in venues.
After we arranged an on-site demonstration, Jacqueline opted for the Presonus AR16 due to its excellent sonic quality, simple USB connectivity and integration with Mac OSX along with a Presonus Monitor Station V2 to offer hands on speaker switching and talkback control to her vocal booth.
Jacqueline has always been happy with her MSP5 speakers for writing but wanted a larger, fuller speaker for referencing and playback. For this the choice was the Presonus R80 offering excellent detail and performance. Due to the layout of the studio, we had to raise the Yamaha MSP5’s to a higher shelf to make space for the Presonus R80’s.
To focus the sound of the MSP5’s we recommended the IsoAcoustic L8R155 sound isolating speakers stands which were adjusted downwards to assist with sound projection.
For her vocal recording, Jacqueline opted for the excellent Avantone CV-12 multi-pattern Condenser Microphone (the chosen mic for artists Taylor Swift & Nick Jonas) due to its excellent sonic detail and warmth.
Kazbar Systems re-arranged Jacqueline’s studio for optimal space and performance, connected and tested all devices on-site.
