Client Requirements:

Kazbar Systems was contacted to re-wire and provide cabling and patchbay solutions for the new Daydream Music Studios. In addition, we supplied, installed and cabled all new pro audio equipment.

Songwriter/Composer/Producer Vasco is a long-term resident of West London’s Matrix Recording Studio Complex. When a larger studio room became available within Matrix, Vasco decided it was time to make the move and upscale his current recording equipment to make use of the larger control room. Vasco also decided that it was time to expand as the existing vocal booth was not adequate for recording drums or multiple musicians in one session. The solution was to modify the current reception space and turn it into a live room.

Dave Eccleston, Technical Manager at Kazbar Systems, assisted Vasco from the very start by working to client requirements for the new Daydream Music Studios live room. Dave has been advising on the live feeds and headphone returns between the live room and control room, followed up by integrating the specification and designing a suitable patchbay layout.
In addition, Dave also provided the technical solution for integrating all of Daydream Music Studios existing equipment, plus providing the cabling specification for the additional equipment within the control room to the patchbay.
Part of this specification was cabling and integrating a vintage TLA M4 Mixing Console for tracking and summing purposes.

All cabling for live room through to control room was manufactured by Kazbar Systems, this also included wall boxes, design and routing throughout the studio and the patchbay.
