The Focusrite Red Series was the outboard to have in the 90’s. Focusrite set the standard for Mic Pre’s, Compressors and EQ’s with the Red series which then set the standard for many models you see today.
Now the Red 1 has partly returned in Lunchbox format with the Red 1 500 Series offering the same performance of the original Red 1 with the same design style too.
The Red 1 500 features the same Lundahl LL1538 Transformer just as in the orginal, switchable Phantom Power, a Polarity Invert and the same classic VU Meter as in the original too
