In May 2023, Drum & Bass DJ and Producer Kanine relocated his writing and production studio to a new studio complex in Hackney Wick, London, an area fast becoming East London’s new creative hub. Kazbar Systems were appointed to upgrade the studio acoustics.
Kanine, a talented young artist hailing from London, achieving remarkable success in the world of Drum & Bass with his DJ sets and regular releases on UKF. He has been backed by some of the genre’s most prominent and influential figures and has cemented a name for himself as one best of the new wave of Drum & Bass producers.
Kanine’s Acoustic Design Requirements
In May 2023, Kanine was recommended to Kazbar Systems by Producer and DJ A.M.C for help improving the acoustics in the new studio. Dave Eccleston, Kazbar Systems Technical Manager, visited Kanine to discuss his vision of the new studio and to gather all of the necessary information to provide an acoustic solution.
Acoustic Design Solution
After conducting a comprehensive acoustic analysis of the studio and developing the concepts and specifications, Kazbar Systems produced the bespoke acoustic treatments, which were installed to effectively manage the reverb time in the studio. The tuned absorbers not only ensured optimum acoustic performance but added a bold and contrasting aesthetic to the studio, finished in acoustically neutral fabric from Camira Fabrics.
